Our Hope for the future
Founded in 2026, Thrive Hamilton is a grassroots, volunteer-run, non-profit initiative based in Hamilton, Ontario.
There is a growing concern around how resources are being managed within the City of Hamilton, and many feel we are at a critical point. We can continue on the current path, one that has led to rising costs across the board, or we can begin to have meaningful discussions about leadership, priorities, and the future direction of our city.
We believe there is a lack of consistent scrutiny and accountability in mainstream coverage of municipal decisions. Thrive Hamilton was created to help fill that gap by providing a platform for thoughtful reflection and fact-based discussion on issues that matter to Hamiltonians.
Since being elected in 2022, this council has increased residential taxes by 23%. This is NOT sustainable and is damaging the very ratepayers the councillors and Mayor were elected to serve.
Thrive Hamilton is a proud member and supporter of the Property Taxpayers Alliance of Ontario, joining other municipalities in our province demanding budget transparency and the efficient and effective use of our hard-earned property tax dollars.
